ER Tech (FT)
Education: High School Diploma/GED; one to three months related experience and/or training preferred. Medical Terminology required. CNA/EMT experience preferred.
Duties Include: Assist with admission, discharge, transfer and transportation of patients, transcribe patient orders from the physician orders to the appropriate areas, compile and maintain patient charts, measure and accurately report vital signs, intake and output, and weight. Must clean and deliver/change clean linen to patient rooms, collect and deliver specimens to appropriate departments, assist patients with meals, assist patients in and out of bed, to and from wheelchairs and stretchers. You will be expected to answer phones, take messages, screen and direct calls, obtain records from Health Information department; help with providing appropriate personal hygiene to assigned patients, utilize infection control and safety, Emergency Preparedness and HAZMAT policies and procedures. When time allows, the ER Tech is to function in a Nursing Assistant position in other nursing units. Effective communication and computer skills required. Perform other duties as assigned.
